This was a piece I submitted in my application for the NYU Screen Scoring Workshop. As a big fan of Harry Potter and the composers who tackled the series, I wanted to try my hand at a scene from the franchise. It’s always a great exercise to score scenes from real movies as practice, so when I rewatched the film and saw this scene, I wondered what music I would have written and if it would have been any good.
