Starting as a piano improvisation, this piece eventually became more nebulous, drawing from multiple genres. While this differs significantly from the final result, I initially had Alain Goraguer’s score for La Planéte Sauvage in my head at the time, and I took inspiration from some of his instrumental choices—particularly the staccato flute lines in “Le Bracelet.”
